World of Wine (WOW) Festival

The World of Wine (WOW) Festival, the Rogue Valley's premier wine showcase, is scheduled on Sat., August 28, 5:00-9:00 p.m., at Del Rio Vineyards, 52 N. River Rd. in Gold Hill.
Some 40 wineries will participate. More than 750 people will attend the grand public tasting, which accompanies a professionally judged wine competition.
The event, which always sells out, is co-sponsored by the Rogue Valley Winegrowers Association and the Southern Oregon Winery Association. Tickets are $75 each and will be available starting June 1 online at www.worldofwinefestival.com or at:

3, 2010 - Featuring Tim Mitchell & It Beats Working Band.
Tim Mitchell is a veteran at playing music in Southern Oregon and here at Agate Ridge Vineyard. For this concert, he will be bringing the "It Beats Working" Band. Tim and the band play a mix of easy listening, pop and country from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. The songs are from artists everyone knows and can sing along with (and dance to!) like The Eagles, Rod Stewart, Harry Chapin and America. There is something for everyone from this entertaining, versatile band.
Join us between 6:00 & 9:00 P.M. Friday night for wonderful music in the garden overlooking our vineyard. There will be light fare available for purchase or feel free to bring a picnic. Cover charge is $7 general admission and $3.50 for Agate Ridge Wine Club Members.

Flipside, a local classic rock band, has been playing around the Rogue Valley for about 3 years. Flipside's play list covers songs from the 70's, 80's and right on through to some current chart hits. "We do songs that our audiences remember." Pat Benetar, Heart, Doobies, Journey, Eagles, just to name a few of the bands that Flipside covers. All members of Filpside are local musicians that are long time residents of the Rogue Valley. "We just enjoy playing and having a great time... That's the bottom line with us... Fun !
