2008 Cabernet Franc

Cabernet Franc is a late-ripening varietal at Agate Ridge. We harvested the 2008 vintage on October 25 in perfect condition with marvelous physiological ripeness. After 22 months aging in French and Eastern European oak barrels the wine has frankly surpassed our expectations. Red current, boysenberry, and Earl Grey tea aromas and flavors persist as the finish evolves. The extract and acid structure promise improvement with short term cellaring for 3-5 years.
