2009 Roussanne

The unmistakable nature of this noble Rhone varietal reaches full expression at Agate Ridge Vineyard. The 2009 growing season was highlighted by particularly favorable weather during late ripening allowing us to harvest beautifully ripe fruit at modest sugar levels. While noticeably off-dry, this wine’s richness, intensity, and balance treat the palate to medium-bodied weight without the cloying sensation sometimes found in wines of this style. This delightful Roussanne is enjoyable now and will improve over the next two to three years with proper storage.
