Winery
After much anticipation, we completed our brand new beautiful 5000 sq. ft. winery facility here to compliment our 30 acre estate vineyard, just in time for our crush of 2005. It was an exciting process for all of us here at Agate Ridge and we are very proud of our new facility. With an environmentally friendly waste management system, a temperature and humidity controlled barrel room, state of the art laboratory and a new 26 hectoliter press that arrived from Italy, we began the first of many successful vintages with our harvest of 2005.
Agate
Ridge Vineyard is proud to announce the appointment
of B. Kiley Evans to the position of Winemaker. He replaces retiring winemaker
Will Brown.
Kiley is a graduate of the world-renowned Department of Viticulture and Enology at the University of California, Davis, where he was recognized as the Albert J. Winkler Scholar. For the last six years, he produced critically-acclaimed Viognier, Tempranillo, Syrah, Grenache, Port, and distinctive red blends. Kiley has also been integral to Southern Oregon's growing national reputation as a premier wine region by serving as a Regional Advisor for the Oregon Wine Board's Wine Quality Program. His early interest in fine wine led to a promising sommelier career in Florida where he was the principal organizer of nationally recognized wine programs before pursuing studies at UC Davis.
"We are enthusiastic about Kiley joining our team. His experience, talent, and credentials make him the perfect choice to lead our winemaking." …Kim Kinderman, Owner/General Manager.
